Gratitude and Grace

Whoever thought we would be living through a global pandemic? This year has undoubtedly forced the world to slow down and take stock of what is essential. When the initial impact of COVID-19 hit the U.S. economy, the business community was forced to adapt and pivot. Industry adjustments were made in record time because companies were forced to think differently. We are resilient by nature, and commerce marches on.
With all of the changes in 2020, it has been vital for me to express daily gratitude. Every day I am grateful for the opportunity to show up to work and give my best effort to our company and our clients. The Moery Company has a robust organizational structure that has allowed our team to hold steady through the ups and downs of 2020. Sacrifices are happening on global effort, and I respect our group of creative thinkers who can quickly implement new strategies to overcome the challenges that have been presented for us to overcome.
This year has forced us all to think differently about how we do things. We are all struggling to survive the pandemic and I find great comfort in knowing that the world has been deeply interconnected through COVID. We are all vulnerable. We are all in this together; unity brings strength and courage. The attitudes that we bring to a crisis will shape our character moving forward.
There is no question in my mind that 2020 has altered the experience of being an employee, a customer, a family member, a friend, and an individual. These types of social interactions are what I believe to be the most essential for me. This year, I learned the importance of positive behaviors for the health of my relationships and myself. Gratitude for what you have helps bring kindness into your daily tasks. Compassion towards others helps build strong, healthy relationships that benefit everyone around you. This year I learned grace through reflections during a pandemic.
What lessons did you learn this year?
