We recently had our morning “pep rally” meeting during which we share ideas and challenges we are facing and this particular day we discussed the use of video in prospect communications. The outcome of this discussion was a strategic re-vamp of our communications efforts – here are three takeaways:
1) Video personalizes your message and helps build a relationship and trust with your prospect.
2) Video helps you stand out amongst the crowd and it breaks up the monotony and flow of content.
3) And, we’ve found using the word ‘video’ or ‘watch’ in the subject line drives increased action. Sales reps see up to a 5x increase in click-through rates and an 8x increase in open-to-response rates (source: Vidyard)
These three reasons alone have motivated us to give this strategy a shot! As we learn from our efforts, I’ll be back with an update. Good luck and give it a try!
